|
|
I am a bit more adventursome/ecclectic with my food tastes than Dh but recently he's been liking some of the diff. flavors of things that I try. He now likes things spicy, ethnic, etc.
So that said, does anyone have a good recipe for curry beef, lamb, or even ckn? I've had it before at a taste festival - curry lamb - over rice and it was to die for!
I would love to try this as something different in my usual cooking routine. I've looked online but wanted to get a recipe from someone here who's made it before and can vouch for it - KWIM? Sometimes internet recipes don't come out 'right' or something.
Thanks gals!

Wild Game Curry
1 lb of venison cubed
2 large onions
1 green pepper
2 cloves garlic
1 can mushroom soup plus ½ can water
3 tbsp curry powder
1/3 tsp crushed chilies
2 oxo beef cubes
½ c ketchup
3 tbsp lemon or lime juice
1 c red wine
1 bay leaf
black pepper
2 tbsp oil
Brown meat and onion. Add remainder and simmer for 45 minutes or longer. We have used slow cooker. Serve on rice with sliced apple, peanuts and raisins.
Enjoy and let me know what you think. We love it. _________________ Sea Ray

Wow, sounds so good and simple to do! THanks.
Have you ever substituted the venison for another type of beef cut? I don't have venison, my BIL has yet to get a deer so I can get some, and the grocery store doesn't have any. But I so want to try this recipe. 289)_9 _________________

I would just use stewing beef or any cut that you want to put into chunks. I can't seem to find the receipe card so I am not sure how long I put in the slow cooker. When I find it I will post the time.
Enjoy
