I posted to the admin of myfastforum and the moderator was very condescending in his response about the lurker..see my post and his response in "THE LURKER"

As I agree that we should ignore such people - I don't appreciate the attitude I received..As you all know I was looking at maybe doing this in the future but I am confident that I should do this asap...I do not like being linked to myfastforum anymore.

I think it's a good idea. The forum could be safe in that someone who isn't a member would not be able to read any threads. No more lurkers.

I am not savvy with all the forum mechanics, but, this forum has turned out HUGE! I think it would be too bad to move it. Tghe only thing positive I can see is maybe another one would load faster? Good points PRB... One thing is, if she moves it as she discussed before, if you clicked on your "old" GWTM link, it would just redirect you to the new site. So...hopefully we wouldn't lose any members. That said, I like the look and feel of this forum...and I struggle with change! LOL.

Sammax, the guy definitely sounds like he has a stick up his butt. I guess he wants to see a post where the lurker was inappropriate? Hrumph. I don't honestly know. I would think a 13 year old wouldn't be allowed to open a forum...so that in and of itself I would think would cause the moderators some concern.

I would love this to be a private forum. But that is JMO. Even though we have the private room, once they are signed in they can access it. I know people post at their own risks, but I know a lot of woman on here seem very comfortable posting pics of their kids, themselves, etc and talking personal issues. I would personally would definitely be more comfortable with a private forum.

We can always tell our friends, if we chose, to come on here, but I think it would defintely cut down on the rift raft...kwim?
