From what Ive read, the Proactol seem to have less, nasty side effects...

I need to lose a few kilo's before my sisters wedding (Im a bridesmaid) in November...

Anyone tried either of those or any other type of weightloss 'magic' pill?

I've tried alli which is half the dose of Xenical. It was just approved for OTC in the US. It definitely works! BUT you need to watch what you eat or else! I haven't had any horrible side effects except a lot of oil when I go to bathroom. I've lost a few pounds with it but I regularly workout so that may have helped too.

I tried Xenical a few years ago..wasnt real thrilled with the side effects.........then when Alli came out I bought that not realizing it was Xenical. same uh unhappy results. not sure I lost weight because i cant stay on it long enough to tell !!!

One time I ate a whole round tin of Pringles Fat Free chips( with Olestra ) and had the same effect as taking Xenical and Alli !!

So Im glad it works for some, but for me it was a no go

Jill is right, OTC Alli is the same med as Xenical, just half the prescription dose. Just don't eat too much fat when you take it, or your bowels will revolt, LOL! :)

I have never had that problem with Olestra. And they are very different things, Olestra isn't a fat blocker, it's a synthetic fat, basically. I can eat a whole bag of those chips and don't have a problem........guess I am lucky. :)

I've not tried it, but a friend of mine lost 40lbs on Xenical

She never had any side effects that I know of, or none that she told me about LOL

Well I bought a months supply today of Xenical, so Ill see how they go...

Crossing my fingers the bowel movements arnt too bad!

Im hoping to lose about 17lbs before the end of November...
