Silicone to Saline

If you wanted or needed a redo, would you consider switching from silicone implants to saline implants in order to make it more affordable?

*I had a g/f who switched from silicone to saline and she regretted it.
Boobsnj

yeah Luxx, I never heard of anyone wanting to do this. The only reason I would think is maybe due to the "possible" complications that they said you might be prone to get with silicone. kwim

I am no boobie expert...but i really like my salines. I can squeeze them, and they are soft enough, but still kinda firm. I know they will get softer, but I wouldn't mind if they stayed the way they are.
But remember, I wasnt going for the super natural look/feel kwim.
So i guess my answer is, i would not change my implants to sili's.

no i would never consider saline unless i couldn't get silicone. it is probably about 1.5-2k difference in cost but the silicone lasts longer.

if I already had silicone, no I would not switch. its about 800-1200 more for silicone, I think its worth the extra $$. i'm happy with my salines, but I worry if i lose weight that i'll have lots of rippling, or that they will deflate and i'll be walking around with one boob, or possibly have the implant erode through my skin since i have little tissue to cover it until i could get it repaired.

the only thing i like about the salines are the projection LOL. they are pretty firm though, you can squish the sides, top, and bottom, but if you hug someone they have a firmness to them. or maybe its just mine since they are max filled and are HP's with a higher CC amount and i have little natural tissue.
I think you might regret switching to salines personally. then again maybe you would love them. LOL sorry i am not much help. best of luck whatever you decide to do!

I know of a girl who swtiched from silicone to saline due to capsular contracture. Silicone has a slightly higher CC rate. She did miss the feel of the silicone but was CC free from there on out. That was 5 yrs ago :)

Thanks, ladies! It was just a thought and curious who would consider it. I'm going to keep my silicone. I paid too much money not to!

Nope!!! I couldn't see switching from silicone to saline just because of $$$. I think in the end I'd end up spending more just to get them switched back - and then what would you save? NADA!!!
