Really nervous about CCI am about 4.5 weeks post op and leftie has healed quite well but rightie is harder feeling at the top, a bit sore all of the time and the crease looks higher than I remember it being. I am not sure if it's because my left crease was lowered during surgery or what. I am nervous that this could be the very early stages of CC. What do you guys think??? I wish my PS would give me Accolate now but he says he won't do it as a precaution, only if you have CC already. I am going to call his office this morning and see if I can get in sooner than my next post op appt., which is April 9th.
Anyone who has had CC, does this sound like it could be the case?

When i was reading your post, that is what i was thinking...but i have NO experience with a BA. Just what i have read on the forum...so dont go by me lol! I would try to get in sooner to see your PS.
Can CC be fixed w/o additional surgery?

I think Accolate can help to stop or slow it down. If it's really bad, it has to be surgically corrected. I hope I am just being paranoid but it's worth a trip to the PS anyway, I think. I can't stand worrying like this. I have a call in to his nurse now so hopefully, she will call me back soon!

It's a hard call - I've never had CC but thought I was getting it - which thankfully I was wrong and didn't. From what I do remember of it - CC is pretty distinctive - if you do some searching on the net you should be able to find some pics of CC & compare it to yours.
Also - send Carissa a PM - she is awesome when it comes to this type stuff!!

I've read Vit E might help. You should talk to you PS so that they can look at it.
GOod luck!

If it's an issue that one breast crease is sitting higher than the other, I would be surprised if it was CC. Generally, with CC, the breast shape itself is distorted, the breasts are very firm and in advanced cases, painful. You being 4.5 weeks post op, you still have settling to do.
Your breasts will heal at different rates as well. The old saying "two breasts, two different surgeries" really is true after BA surgery. If it eases your mind go see your ps but unless your breasts are distorted which I dont think they are from what I saw of your pics, you're ok.
