question/skincare help! So, I finally have my skin under control with a good routine. I have waaay less breakouts, my pores appear smaller, my makeup goes on easier, looks more natural . But now, all of a sudden my oily skin is flaking off and seems dry-ish. I tried adding a moisturizer to my routine, but that is not helping with the flakies. It's so annoying, I put my m/u on and then you can see all over my chin and around my nose that the skin is peeling off...ew. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this problem? Also, what is everyone's daily skincare routine? (wondering if I'm doing too much to my skin)
This is my daily routine:
AM: Cream cleanser, Paula's Choice benzoyl peroxide followed by Paula's Choice moisture gel
PM: Olay oil free cleanser, tea tree oil, Paula's Choice anti-oxidant serum, retin-a micro.
Any suggestions? Thanks ladies!

Is it possibly the products that you are using??
I would recommend a gentle exfoliator and try to exfoliate on a weekly basis. 3 times a week if you dont have sensitve skin and 1-2 times a week if you do. Also make sure you're taking in enough water on a daily basis.

Thanks Carissa--it's funny that you mentioned that b/c I exfoliated with a washcloth last nite and the flakies are almost entirely gone. I think that might be the one thing missing is regular exfoliation. I am going to find s'thing gentle to exfoliate 3x a week. I definitely don't drink enough water, thanks for that tip.
It's so crazy how when I was a teenager, all I had to worry about was getting rid of the oilies and an occasional zit. Now as an adult, I have to worry about zits and oilies and dry, flakey skin!? So annoying! Thanks for the help tho!

Hpw long have you been using the Retin-A? What strength is it. Vit. A products will defintely cause peeling/flaking.

Vit A needs to be slowly introduced into the skin care regime & will cause peeling & redness at first.
Benzoyl & Tea tree are very drying on the skin, so i would definitely use a moisturiser twice a day too.
Exfoliation definitely needs to be apart of your regime, as this will remove dead skin & dry skin.
