Yeah, I know this should be in health and beauty but I want answers NOW dammit, lol. I just bought and finally got used to a mineral make-up (I have Laura Mercier's). Anyway, I seem to be getting little pimples and I'm not sure if it's that or another product that I'm using.

Anyone ever heard of mineral make up causing some breakouts? I thought it was supposed to be good for the skin. psycho

I have a stupid red spot on the tip of my nose and I'm going to a party tonight.

Sue, I wonder too. I have Bare Essentials and I'm breaking out like a teenager again. I don't know if my hormones have changed (b/c I don't where the make-up everyday) or it's from the make-up itself?

I sure as heck hope not cause I just invested in some..I hope it is not causing breakouts. Could it be harmonal?

I can't use it just for that reason.... Found out after I spent the money on a bunch of stuff. I threw it all away.

Crap Terih!!!! I was afraid of that. No ladies, it's not hormonal. I should be ovulating right now. And even PMS'ing I rarely break out. But for the last few days, I've been getting these little red pimples. Shit!!

I'm pretty sure it's the makeup. I put some on yesterday and I could kind of see it settling in to the larger pores on my nose. It gave great coverage but I woke up this morning with a damn zit there.

Arrrggghhhhhhhhh.

I'm going to give it up for a few days and see if the zits stop. If not, I've been using a new moisturizer...but I'm afraid it's the mineral make up.

Bummer, I liked the coverage without having the shine....

I break out whenever I use something different. It's not so much the product, just the change. Then my body gets used to it, and all is fine. Certain products do make me break out no matter what though.......Clinique is one. I haven't tried the mineral makeup yet.

i remember fishchick saying awhile back she broke out from the mineral makeup.. the bismuth in it was like an allergic reaction for her

I use bare escentuals and Ive never had any problems... I only break out when Im stressed! and lately --im stressed! it sucks...

I think just about any kind of makeup could cause breakouts...no matter mineral or not....it still gets into your pores.
Are you washing it off at night Sue?
How long have you been using it?

I haven't had any problems either. But go figure...I used REGULAR foundation the other day for EXTRA coverage (i dunno why!!) and I broke out! DAMN makeup!
