Jumping Rope! What a great cardio work out this is. We've been doing it regularly in my bootcamp class. It's much harder than it looks and way harder than I remember from being a kid but I am getting the hang of it now and really liking it. I went to Target and bought myself a jump rope for $2.99 and have been using it on my deck. I can really feel my heart going afterwards like nothing else!
Who would have thought such a simple and inexpensive thing could do so much for you?

It really is!! I don't think I can last a full minute... It is definetly a good source or cardio!!

I jsut worked up to two and a half minutes and that took me five weeks! I sucked so bad in the beginning, I was always tripping over the rope and getting it caught in my hair! Now, I am better but I don't think I could ever do it for 20 mins. or anything. It is hard work!

We do it in my circuit class, but I have to do it without the rope. I guess I'm not coordinated enough and I spend more time starting over than actually jumping. But you can simulate the same thing w/o the rope too!!!

Can you believe something so simple just pumps the body??!! I can run 6 miles relatively easy but still only due about 5 minutes max with the jumprope and thats pushing it!

I have one. It takes practice and I'm still tripping over the rope and get it caught up in my hair. Eventually I should be as fast as Rocky when he was training for the fight lol.

I'll give you a tip. If you can look in a full length mirror while you do it that really helps not to trip up or get it caught in your hair. I use my sliding glass door on my deck.
