Increase of more than 2 cup sizes?I posted this on 411, but thought I'd see what you girls thought too :)
I've noticed what seems to be a general rule of thumb that most PS's prefer to go no larger than 2 cup sizes up from the original size. I'm a 32B, and I'd like to LOOK like a 32D or DD, but I know that that would actually be more like a 32DDD/E, right? Will I have trouble finding a PS willing to do that? Or is that actually dangerous?
I know I've seen ladies on these forums who've gone up 3, sometimes even 4 or 5 cup sizes.
I do have saggy-ish skin from breastfeeding, so I'd think my skin could stretch quite a bit more than 2 cup sizes, but I don't know... any thoughts?

When you get a great surgeon he will/should be honest with you, as mine was and tell you what's in your best interest, his opinion, and ask for yours. If you tell him you wanna be a 32D/DD then you probably will, not a 32DDD (if anything implants appear smaller due to they don't sag). I went from a 36b/c(depending on bra) to a 36 DD/E I love my size. My friends that are naturally this size hate their cause they go down to their belly buttons!
oh and just remember most dr.'s will do anything for $. We see that all the time on sites about boobs!

As long as it is safe for your body, I don't see why not. You don't want to go too big for your body structure and risk a complication. Make sure you research your PS though, because some people ask for a C cup and come out a D or DD. Some PS's give you more than you ask for figuring most people want bigger than what they get.
Now my PS is very conservative, and I got exactly what I asked for. I went from a 36A to a 34D. I was apparently wearing the wrong band size before. I feel like I look more like a C cup though.

I went from a 34A, to a 34D. I wasnt a perky, or "tight skinned" 34A though, i nursed my dd for almost a year, and although i wasnt too saggy, i had mostly just skin. Even now i could definetly fit a larger implant, next time ill get at least 550cc to fill up the extra space.
Have you been on any consults yet?

No, I haven't gone on any consults, I know I won't be able to get my BA for a few years (quick summary of the reasons: we plan on having at least one more child, and I'd rather wait til we're done making babies to get my boobies, money would be a bit tight now anyway, and I'm too young to qualify for silicone, and I'd like to have the choice if sili would work better for me)
So I haven't done consults yet, I know if I were to go on one, it would make it that much harder to wait-- it's already hard enough with the forums! Not that I want to leave, LOL...
Thanks for the responses, girls...
I was just wondering about it, because I've seen that on several PS's sites, but I thought for sure there were plenty of girls on here as well as BI411 who've gone up several cup sizes and it was fine. And I do have stretchy skin from breastfeeding, so I'd think you could fit a whole heck of a lot in there, LOL!

One or two of the girls had the implants that you could keep getting filed up... they were used to stretch the skin... not sure of the name

Admin...are you talking about the expandable ( i think thats what theyre called, or maybe string??), or implants with the valves???

Oh, yeah, I've heard of those-- Spectrum expandables, right? I know of one girl on 411 who had those, then got them switched out for larger normal implants. I don't think I would need those, like I said, my skin is already stretched from pregnancy and breastfeeding.

I had a saggy b/c cup before hand, I had a lollipop/benelli lift and BA - 550 mod + silicones and now I wear 34DDDD/E even into an F in some bras - to give you an idea.
It all depends on your PS, your body structure, how your chest wall sits, how large or small your pockets are - there are just so many factors involved. A lot of PS's will go a tad bigger than what you request just because from experience most women want bigger once they've settled some. I know that when I have my re-do I will go up considerably - around the 800+ region but I also have very large pockets naturally to absorb the size. HTH!!
I defintely feel you on the waiting part, I waited for over ten years to do this!

dahlia dear
i was an A and ended up a small-medium D, although I think I look like a C...
and my skin was extremely tight!! i think u can prob go up to an E if you wanted to, being a B to start with and having already breasfed and all.
but yeah, it will certainly depend on the doc and how big he will be ok with making you.
i did have limits though, and my ps said i could have gone a little bigger, but not much the first time round.
now, he says i can go as large as i'd want, so i do understand there is some limitation as to how much you can go in one time, but in your case it's prob a little more than the girl who's never had kids or breastfed :)

Ksmitha22-- It's crazy, 34DDDD, E or F sounds HUGE... but I would love to look in clothes the way you do in your siggy picture! LOL, would that make me a 32E, F, or G?? Oh dear... I don't think I'd be able to find ANY bras!
Pla-- Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear! (I have to say, I do think you look bigger than a C, dear -- hah! Funny smiley!)

hehehehe
that is a cute one!! i haven't figured out how to work'em yet, they end up at the end of my posts when i use them! :orcass:
anyway, yes, i am a D for sure
which really goes to confirm that you can increase more than 2 cup sizes the 1st time round. and I was F-L-A-T
btw, just saw another girl at some other forum that was even flatter than me - got 360's, looks a little smaller than me, but she also surely went up 3 cups, easy!
ETA: It worked!! Posted where I wanted it!! YAY

Hey girl I went from a A to a D. I don't think you'll have any problem!
I had stretch marks form having kids and mine fit just fine.

I went on 3 consults - two told me that it wouldn't be good for me to go more than what I got (280cc's) due to almost zero tissue going in.
I didn't have children so I didn't have any excess skin. I don't know if that's true for you, but I'm glad I didn't go any bigger because I don't think it would have worked very well. As it is, it took me almost a full year before they stopped looking tight and hard and got soft.
The surgeon who did mine told me that later down the road, after my skin stretched out from these implants I could go bigger at that time, but I'm pretty happy where I'm at.
I would listen to what the doctors tell you. Like the other poster said some will tell you NO PROBLEM when it's not in your best interest so they'll make a boobie sale.

Sue-- Thank you, that's a good point. I would definitely be careful not to disregard a PS's advice just to go big. I do think, especially because of the responses I've gotten, that because of my extra skin from having been larger already, that it probably wouldn'tbe a problem for me. I also have some tissue (not much, lol... small B cup), so I guess that helps a little, too. But I hope to have gained some weight by the time I get my surgery, anyway, so hopefully, I'd be more like a full B, small C, by then. More to cover the implant helps, right?
Thank you for the reply-- very good advice! You look great, too!
