I met the makeup artist for Bobbi brown...Ok, it would of been nice to have met her but I did meet Michael who works directly with her :) I got a makeover with him at Bloomingdale's beauty event yesterday.......it was really exciting and he gave me some great tips!!!

Well, he said if you have really dry skin then avoid powders whether they be pressed or loose. Creams are your best friend. Examples would be cream blushes, cream eyeshadows, bronzers that are liquids versus powders.
He also told me to exfoliate while in the shower, it will be more effective.
Instead of using concealer on the eyelids or foundation on the eyelids before applying eyeshadow, use a white eyeshadow color. It will act as a corrector in case you make a mistake.
When filling in eyebrows with a pencil, start where you need it the most. where you put the pencil intially is where the heaviest amount of color will go. After you do this area gently go back and forth over other areas to even out.

Thanks for posting, I will have to lay off the powder, I have been using retin a,and my face has been so dry. I also use foundation on my eyelids I will have to try the white shadow!! I would love to go have my face made over by a professional. Everytime I get someone in a dept store to do mine, I feel like I look silly when they are done. They usually get everything way to heavy for my likings!!

I went under bobbibrowncosmetics.com and sent a general positive note about my experience at the makeup event. They responded to me and said my comments were welcomed and they would be forwarded over to michael herself and I'm sure Bobbi as well :)
