How much do you pay for your gym membership?I just got my bank statement from August and my gym charged me $191.95! It's normally $173.00, which is bad enough but this is ridiculous. We went on vacation for a week plus then they were closed for a week and a half for "renovations" so we were there a total of like 9 days last month so this just burns me up. I had to leave a message w/ their book keeper. The ymca here just finished an extensive remodel with an outdoor splashy pool for kids and every time the kids and I drive by (on our way to our current gym), they say, "Take us there!" I am seriously considering switching at this point.
How much do you guys pay? Does this include day care? The reason I signed up at this gym was for the day care. My son was only 9 months old when we first joined and I really needed it then but now, I think we could get by another way and it sure would be nice to save the money. He will be in preschool next fall so I just need to figure out how to get by until then. I had hoped we could make our current gym situation work until then but if they've raised their rates w/out even telling me, I am going to feel like a sucker. I guess I will know more when the book keeper calls me back.

I pay 30 a month for 24 hr but I also get a discount through my work....

$34 for 24 hour. I know for a couple its $60ish a month

We pay $183 a month for my family of four. We get two hours of free child care a day but no "day care" so to speak.

I pay $20 a fortnight, i get cheap because my Prtner is a Personal Trainer at the gym. Its usually about $35 a fortnight. Fitness First :sprt6%:

Hmmm. Well, this sounds like what we pay for a family of four but we do get two hours per day of childcare so maybe I am not getting ripped as bad as I thought.
I checked out the Y online and I have a feeling that we will be switching over there for sure by next summer. They just remodeled and expanded it and it actually looks much nicer than where we go now! That way, my 4 yo can go to the new daycare there w/ my 2 yo instead of him having to switch alone now while she's in preschool. I won't need the childcare anymore after DS starts preschool next year in the fall and the Y is $70 per month for our whole family plus I just learned that they have great afterschool programs that will probably come in handy down the road! :sprt6%:

I just joined a new gym. My membership is $40, childcare is an extra $10 and power classes are an extra $10 if you want them. They also charge a $25 fee once a year for equipment upgrades.
