Dent! - WTH?A few days ago I lifted my right breast and noticed that there's a dent (approximately 1 1/2" long in size) centered in the crease extending up into the breast. WTH is that? Of course, my fiance doesn't think it's a big deal...he says no one sees it. But I'm thinking...umm, I paid nearly $7,000 and I don't expect perfection, but I surely don't expect dents or an abnormal contour! Any ideas what it could be?

could it be a double bubble or rippling...
sorry not much help. show a pic.

Could it be that it's from the bra? It's not all that uncommon for a bra to fit differenlty on one side especially since we all have one breast larger than the other. Without a pic, I cant think of anything else right now.

Hmmm...no...I don't think it's double-bubble, rippling or from a bra. I've attached one sketch and one picture so ya' all can see what I'm wondering about. Since it's difficult to hold my breast up at the same time as holding a camera, the dent isn't as profound in the picture, but it IS deeper (and a little longer) than what's shown!

Dang woman! I think you are a lot better than me on the computer-a sketch and everything!!! I would talk to your PS about it. I assume that it hasn't always been there?? If not then my first guess would be cc but I am no doctor!!! Does your breast feel firm?
ETA- Also, are you sure it hasn't always been there and you just didn't notice? (I know-yeah right!) If it has been there though maybe it is just a spot where the pocket wasn't dissected enough?

it looks like it's a dent due to rippling.

1st how the frig do you "sketch" like that??? wow, i'm impressed!
2nd, i've never seen anything like that before...it actually does look like the ps didn't dissect enough...i would definitely call and make an appt.

LOL - thanks! I have a degree in Computer Science & the skills sure are handy.
Anyway...
Although I've seen rippling on other women & I don't think my dent looks like it, maybe that's what it could be. Having said that, I tend to agree that it could be a lack of dissection in that area. I didn't notice it before (don't think ? it was there), yet my implant hadn't dropped & settled fully. CC is a possibility, but at last month's check-up the doc said I didn't have it. I'll mention the dent to my PS on the 22nd, but first I wanted to see what the thoughts were on here. Thanks again ladies & I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Def. keep us posted!

Could be start of cc. Mine did something similar on the side where the cc was pushing in on the sides making the implant buckle up. Hopefully not, guess it could be some type of rippling too. Is it there in any position?

the incision should be slightly above the crease so that is not a worry. Does your breast fall to cover the incision and crease? Can you see the dent if you are standing upright with your arms down?

Thanks, Rosebury. I don't know what's going on. I can only see the dent when I lift my breast as it's in the fold. Maybe I'll get an answer next week.

Hmmm, yep, the incision and crease are covered and no, I don't think the dent is visible while standing upright with my arms down. It's just weird (?).

Happy to be

Could it be rippling? When I raise my right arm I have a dent/line across the bottom - which is clearly my implant rippling But it's much better than the double bubble I used to have
BTW - what a great drawing - very talented lady you are

My guess is rippling. It'll be interesting to find out for sure after you see the ps though.
Cool drawing!

Happy to be, well dang, what you described seems to be similar to what I have too. Blah! And thank you for the compliment. LOL - without the computer I can't draw if my life depended on it!
Thanks, dhgirl...I'll definitely post an update after my appointment on Tues. evening. Honestly, I can live with whatever it is as long as it's not going to cause a future problem. What I cannot live with is the pocket problem on the left...it's annoying, unattractive & painful <sigh>.

Thanks for thinking of me, dhgirl! I did see my PS after work yesterday. When I showed him the "dent" he said it's not there when I don't lift up my breast, which it's not, and to "stop doing that!" Apparently it's not rippling, cc or anything else we had guessed. It's the way the fascia, bottom supporting structure of the breast, is behaving when I lift my breast. It's not torn, but it can be, and I was told that it's difficult to repair because the tissue is similar to muscle. So, no worries - thank goodness! I'll post later in the DSPR about what happened during the rest of my "final post-op" visit.

Phew! I'm glad it's not a big deal. That actually does make sense.
