Angelina Jolie Adopts A Boy...AP - Angelina Jolie was expected to arrive in Vietnam late Wednesday to adopt a three-year-old boy, adoption officials said.
Jolie was expected to attend an adoption ceremony with Vietnamese officials in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday morning, the officials said.
After she receives the child, Jolie will meet with US consular officials, who must review the adoption before a passport can be issued for the boy.
If all goes according to plan, Jolie could bring the child home by the weekend, officials said.
The boy has been living at the Tam Binh orphanage on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City since he was abandoned at a hospital as an infant, according to adoption officials.
Shortly after he arrived at the orphanage, the Tam Binh staff tried unsuccessfully to locate the boy's birth parents.
The boy is healthy, friendly and a little bit shy, they said. He gets along well with other children and loves to play soccer.
Jolie filed adoption papers as a single parent, because she and her superstar partner Brad Pitt are not married.
The couple have three children: five-year-old Maddox, adopted from Cambodia; two-year-old Zahara, adopted from Ethiopia; and another daughter, Shiloh, who was born to the couple in May.
The pair made a surprise visit to the Tam Binh orphanage in November, when they were spotted cruising around Ho Chi Minh City on a motorbike.

How many kids does this woman want? She has 4 kids now all under the age of 6 or so? I am sure she has all the nannies she can handle but sheesh. I am sure their house is a crazy one.

She's a little crazy with all of those children under the age of 6. Like Larissa said, I guess when you have nannies, you can have a lot of kids. Better her than me!

wow.. lots of kids.. good for her.. but what i dont understand is why not adpot from here? we have orphans here.. its a good deed none the less but for these celebs it seems they want to adopt out of states just for the title of having a child from another country.. to make them seem like a better person..

I think it is a lot easier for them to adopt from foriegn countries because the other countries don't have all the red tape we have here. I think it is great that she is helping the children and all but what is she trying to accomplish by adopting so many?? She is going to have a classroom full soon!!!
