Alright!#1 came down with the pox last night/this morning. He's covered, but not complaining. We did some anti-histimine cream this morning and he's been fine since.
Now I just need #2 to get them sooner rather than later!

Could be worse, they could have poison oak.
2 down, 1 to go.

The middle boy had that 2 summers ago, that's why I think he's going to be misserable when he gets them!
Aidan has a lot, and he's itching quite a bit, but he's being a trooper!

Now the fun begins! Keenan has them too!

Hope you and DH have had the pox. Otherwise, you might all be itching together.

We both had good cases when we were younger.
I've let them play a lot of video games because it seems to keep them distracted. Aside from trying to do some homework, it's been pretty smooth today!

Im sorry to hear that snippy! Did your kids get the vaccines for that?? I thought that was suppose to mean they wouldnt ever get it. Hope they feel better soon. I remember when I was 6 years old, I got it so bad I had to wear gloves and all. My mom kept all the pictures. LOL. My whole body was covered.

No, she didn't vaccinate them for it.
And from what I understand about the vaccination, you can still get it, you'll just get a lighter case of it.

I hope by now they are all gone. Hopefully all 3 had it so your done.
I have poison ivy right now. DH was sick so i went out and put wood in the wood burner. Well some of it had poison ivy on it. I thought since it was winter it was dead and wouldn't do anything. Now i know better. The weird thing is i never had it before this summer. Not sure why i never got it before and now i do. Not happy about that though.

Did you know poison ivy is an allergic reaction? It's the most common thing for people to be allergic to. I didn't know that till I was looking to find out what Keenan had last summer.
We're doing surprisingly well! Little guy is all over them, the oldest had his peak day yesterday and has hardly itched today. He has by far the most. Middle child doesn't have that many, he was itching this morning but hasn't mentioned them for awhile. They should be able to go back to school next week, middle one may have to skip Monday still.

I'm glad they are doing better. St least its all done and over with at once.
I didn't know it was an allergic reaction. I just know i never got it before and now i do. I hate it. Its starting to go away. It wasn't as bad this time. Just some on both shoulders and a little on my arms. I'm soooooo happy its going away. If i would have been thinking i would have put bleach on my hands to kill it when i came in. Just not thinking it would do this in winter.

Yes!!! Way to toughen their immune systems!!!
Srsly, I survived the pox and mumps....I spit germs in the eye.
Hope you're all well now. I actually had chicken pox twice--so did my mom.

OK, thinking about today has me going a little stir crazy!
Anyone want to come keep me company?

I'll keep you company.
And Benzie......Use rubbing alcohol. I get poison oak really bad, and it really helps dry it up. Warning though: if it's festering, it's gonna burn. Calamine lotion don't do shit.

I have been doing the rubbing alcohol. I'm soaking myself in it. It dried it up pretty good. Thats what i did last time and it went away after i started that. I can handle the burn if i know it will make it go away. I actually scratch it so its open and then put the rubbing alcohol on my fingers so i don't spread it and then on it. It burns but oh well. It goes away.
