A question for you runners..........I'm not running.......yet, but I use the run simulation on my eliptical. I'm looking for some good music with a strong beat to keep my pace up. I'm finding with the right music I work harder longer. So what do you listen to that keeps you going? It doesn't really matter on the type of music, just a good beat.

Check out podrunner.com (or something like that). They're mixes that some DJ puts together that'll be a certain BPM thoughout the hour long mix. Depending on your height/leg length, it's recommended that you have about 120-130 strides per minute for good form.
Try it out. Let me know what you think. I haven't been able to download from them in some time because I've only got a work computer these days.

Yeah . . . what she said! Those are some terrific songs to run to. I have a few others that have worked really well for me for a long time now. Some are by somewhat obscure bands, but it might be worth checking them out:
Mr Brightside - The Killers
An Honest Mistake - The Bravery
Blue Orchid - The White Stripes
Everytime We Touch - CASCADA (radio mix)

Thanks, Kel! "Playing" Sean Paul's song in my head makes me realize that probably is a very good running song. I'm not familiar with that PCD song you listed - I'll have to go check it out.
I really like songs with a strong, defined back-beat. I also like to match the tempo of the song with the speed at which I'm running during certain portions of my run. It helps "pace" me during my run.

I dug up some of my older No Doubt CD's and put them on my MP3 player. They've been on high rotation on my runs recently.
