Just in time for fall's return to glamour, Bare Escentuals' Classic Rock Flawless Diamond 9-Piece Color Collection has one star ingredient: real (real!) diamond powder. Because diamonds are a girl's bestfriend, I asked one of my best friends, Karen, to volunteer for a brilliant Classic Rock makeunder from the highly talented and incredibly entertaining Victorio Esparza, a Sephora Pro Beauty Team makeup artist. The results were, in a word, dazzling.

To prep Karen's face, Victorio swathed her skin in bareVitamins Prime Time and bareVitamins Eye Rev-er Upper, which he assures will "make you look like you got 12 hours of sleep."

Using the Bare Escentuals Get Started Kit, Victorio swirled, tapped, and buffed Karen's complexion into an even, luminous, and well-rested state—the perfect canvas. Pro tip: Keep the Kabuki Brush (included in the kit) in your bag for on-the-go touchups?the minerals still in the brush will supply you with extra coverage.

Time to shine! Victorio used the Full Tapered Shadow Brush to apply a wash of Classic Rock Eyeshadow (the silver shade) from the lash line up to the brow as a shimmering base.

Next, he added a hint of smoldering dimension, sweeping the darker Nice Rock Glimmer into the crease, blending it in from corner to corner. Pro tip: For extra definition, mix a bit of Nice Rock Glimmer with Weather Everything Liner Sealer and use a liner brush to line your top lid and the outer bottom corners of your eyes.

Victorio then applied 2 coats of Classic Black Mascara to Karen's lashes, followed by a frosting of Diamond Beautifully Luminous Lashes. The subtle sparkle adds a demurely decadent appeal to your flutter. Pro tip: If you're feeling especially audacious, brush some Diamond Beautifully Luminous Lashes onto your eyebrows, dot it on the inner corner of your eyes, or even pat it along your cheekbones (after blush) for a dewy finish.

Using the Full Flawless Face Brush, Victorio buffed the Diamond Laughter Blush on the apples of the cheeks for a warm, glowing effect. Pro tip: Brush a little Diamond Laughter Blush up along the hairline for a sun-kissed finish.

A light dusting of Diamond Gossamer Face & Body Color along the T-zone and under the eyes gave a distinctly sparkling allure. Pro tip: Use the Diamond Gossamer Face & Body Color like jewelry and brush it over your décolletage and hands.

As a final touch, Victorio lacquered Karen's lips with a healthy dose of Dominique Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish, leaving them shiny and voluptuous. Rock on!
