I always make roast in the crockpot. My BF hunts, and we generally have a lot of elk, deer around. But you can make this with beef too. I chop up an onion, potatoes, and throw in some baby carrots. Put the roast in, half a bottle of Catalina dressing (the smaller bottle) and add water to cover. Put it in the pot, cover and cook on low for about 8 hours.
My friend and I were talking last night and she said she just made the Carolina Pork on this website and it was awesome!!! rckdd

Ribs are good in the slow cooker. Just put them in with some barbeque sauce and a little brown sugar.
I also put whole chickens in. Just season them. They come out kind of like a rotisserie. If you cook it too long though, it falls apart from the bones when you pull it out. _________________

I actually made ham in the crock pot the other night. I got a bunch of ham steaks.... added cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and apple slices. It only needed to be cooked for 2 hours on high. It was fabulous!! _________________

I make lots of stuff in my slow cooker. Beans and sausage, Roast with potatoes and carrots, meatloaf, and chicken breast with mushroom gravy.
If you want to know how to cook any of these let me know and I will post the recipes. _________________

That sounds yummy!! I'm trying that next time.
Yesterday, I did chicken in the crock pot. I generally open a can of diced tomatoes and pour it in with the meat, onions and carrots.
I love how the house smells when the crock pot is going! _________________

I have a Rival Smart Pot. After the food is cooked it automatically shuts off and keeps things in a warm mode. This is a great crock pot.
