I removed my nose piercing a year ago so it would heal over in time for my wedding...plus I was just tired of having it in. Now the hole is healed, but there is a dimple in my nose where the piercing was. Has anyone else ever had this? Basically, it looks like I still have my nose pierced, and that I'm just not wearing the stud. Is there anything that can help this? I am considering rhinoplasty (not for that) but am concerned that the hole will stay there and just move to a more obvious are of my nose. Is the only solution to get my nose pierced again and put a stud back in or is there a cosmetic solution? Any help would be great!

Where was your piercing? Was it on the outside of the nostril area? I personally, wouldnt put the nose ring in again, especially if you are planning on having rhinoplasty anytime soon. Infection, would be my main concern with this.

The piercing was in the crease on the left side of my nose. It was only a small stud I had in, nothing funky, so I'm not sure why it didn't just heal over. If I do go ahead and have my nose done it won't be for a year or two though.

My friend's is still a wee bit noticeable, only if she points it out. She removed it over 10 years ago. She used to do the chain to the ear thing though. I could never picture her w/ it being that I met her about 6 years ago and 3 kids later. So, I think it will fade away over time and most people wouldn't even think to look for one. I didn't believe her until she pointed it out.

Thanks 2gr8boys, hopefully you're right and it will fade with time. You're probably right that no one thinks to look. I bet I fixate on it because I know it's there. I guess I'll just need to wait and see.

If nothing else put some scar guard on it or something.
But honestly most people won't think to look for an old piercing. It would be absurd for someone to walk up and say, "Hey is that an old hole from a piercing?"
If they did though throw one in to their nads an tell them to STFU.
