The girl at VS measured me wrong and told me a size bigger than i thought i was. I figured this was her job so she must be right. I bought a few bras and i wash them before i wear them. They ended up sliding around and 1 cup was close to the middle of my chest and the other had my nipple sticking out. I went back and someone else measured me and i was right on my size. When i exchanged them the girl ringing me out made it like i stretched them out. I told her i washed them out by hand and put them out to air dry. She said that should be fine and told me to make sure i use Baby Drift (something like that) b/c wash soap has fiber glass in it and it will ruin bras. So how do you wash them???

I hand wash mine also. I have a few that I have had for a while and I will wash them in the machine and hang dry.

I'm bad because none of my bras are over $25 so I just machine wash - sometimes in the bra basket I bought. Then I either air dry or sometimes machine dry if I want them to sort of 'shrink' more. . . . well at least the feel tighter to me when I machine dry but it could all be in my head! LOL

I hand wash mine and lay them on towels to dry....takes forever but I paid a lot for them and I'm not going to ruin them!!! Before my BA I always put them in the washer/dryer though!

I place mine in one of those wash-bags and they never stretch or loose shape..

I also use the lingerie-bags for washing all my delicate items of clothing, their GREAT and only about $4.

I always hand wash my bras. I use 7th Generation-Sensitive Care. It is very gentle, biodegradable, non-toxic and cost effective.

Nordstrom also carries a lingerie wash. My friends love it.

In the machine. Once I start wearing larger, more expensive bras they'll be hand-washed.

hmm, did that lady know what fiberglass is? if that got into clothes a baby wore or anyone wore, it would rub them raw something awful. its not in laundry soap, it is in some insulation, and used for a ton of other things but not soap. ok, I'm trying to stop freaking out that some lady said that LOL.

I hand wash mine, in the sink. I have molded cup bras and they are slightly stiff and there is no way to wash them in the washer. I dry them on a drying rack that you would lay sweaters on and such. I use all free and clear liquid laundry soap, and mine are all in really good shape. :cy%m:

Same here, I put them in the washer in a lingerie bag (you can also tie them up in a pillow case), wash them on cold/gentle and hang them dry.

I handwash and lay flat to dry. I did that before my BA also as I always bought really nice high end bras.

I wash mine in my front loading washer, and let them air dry.

Thanks for all the tips. I hate hand washing. I think i might go get one of those bags to put them in for the washer. I know i have a gentle cycle but i don't think i have ever used it.

Keeter... When DH and i built our house i couldn't touch the fiberglass b/c i would get itchy from it. I don't know what the reason would be for it to be in soap but i never check the ingrediants. I used organic soap on them yesterday b/c i knew it would be safe. I can only use a few laundry soaps b/c most of them make me itch. I'm assuming someone told her that so she was repeating that. Maybe that is why they have Baby Drift for babies. I'm just not really sure with all the garbage they put in stuff anymore.

LOL I figured you were just humoring the lady who said that. most people know what fiberglass is, I guess she didn't though. but yes you never know what they put in things. I like my all free and clear liquid, I have sensitive skin and have not had any issue with it.

heres a thread that might be helpful, it has quite a few responses about bra washing-
http://girlswiththemostest.myfast...about3201.html&highlight=bras

I have washed a couple underwire bras that had softer cups (by freya) and they have turned out great using that circular bra bag by woolite and the delicate setting on the washer. but my molded cups bras cant fit into those bags and i wouldn't even attempt it due to how they are made. if you have a front loading washer, that would be even better. I just buy quite a few bras so that I don't have to wash mine all the time, its easier that way for me LOL.

Hi all,

I use to wash my bras by hand, and hang them for dry, and i never have problem with loose bra fitting and all, this is all depend on the fiber of bra, this have to check before buying.
