Here you go. I got this recipe from one of DH's coworkers who used to work in a bakery. They are the best ever, ever, ever!!!!! My mom told me they were better than Cinnabon's rolls. WARNING: Do not eat more than one at a time........
Dough:
1 cup water
2 TBS butter, softened
1 egg
3 1/3 cups bread flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp active dry yeast
Place all ingredients into bread maker and select dough cycle. (The dough can be made by hand if you don't have a bread maker. I haven't made them that way, but I have the instructions if you need them)
Grease 9X9 pan (I use a 9X13 because I always end up with more than 9 rolls)
Mix 2/3 cups sugar, 4 tsp cinnamon and 2 TBS melted butter in a small bowl. Roll dough into a 18X9 inch rectangle on lightly floured surface. Spread with cinnamon mixture. Roll up from the 9 inch side. Pinch the edge of dough into roll to seal. Cut roll into 1 inch slices and place in pan. Cover; let rise in warm place 1 hour or until double in size.(it's faster if you warm up your oven to 200 degrees then turn off and put rolls in warm oven)
Heat oven to 375. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls.
Glaze: Mix 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and 2-4 TBS milk until smooth and thin enough to drizzle. |

Mix all the dough ingredients with the dough hook on a mixer. Let the dough knead for about 30 minutes after it's mixed.(so about 35 minutes total) Move the mixing bowl with the dough in it to a warm area and cover with a towel.(I'd heat the oven to 200 degrees, then shut it off and then put the bowl in)
Let the dough rise until it's double in size or approximately 35-45 minutes. Punch the dough down, use flour to keep it from sticking.
Then follow the rest of the instructions for rolling and baking them.
Good luck and enjoy!
Pandi......It says it makes 9 rolls, but I always end up with 10 or 11. |
