at what point is it okay to wear a longer skirt with suede boots?

I'm in the chicago area. I have skirt and top I'm DYING to wear, but it only really looks cool with boots.

LOL... I'd say as soon as you want to, and as soon as you wouldn't be sweating inside the boots. Are there rules about that?

I dunno about the rules - other than white shoes after labor day!! *heh*

I don't own any white shoes, so I'm safe there.

I actually did wear it - with a cropped brown metallic leather jacket and I was cilly!! The skirt is brown with a crochet overlay. I wore it with a white top with a crochet overlay and a think brown belt with the brown suede boots.

It's pretty windy here today (chicago area) and I'm really glad I wore the boots and not shoes.

And I got a ton of compliments on it too! These girls in front of me on the train were looking at me and whispering and I'm looking at them like WHAT?!?!?!?

The one girl turned around and told me they were talking about how cute my outfit is and wish they could wear something like that.

So, I guess it worked out fine.
