Does anyone know a good eyeliner that goes on easily and stays put? My eyes tend to water a lot if it's windy and I seem to always end up with eyeliner smudges. Any suggestions?

Any eyeliner I use stays put. There normally always the cheap ones too. Right now I'm using CG Perfect Point Plus. It was around $3. I would like to see what everyone else uses though!!:)

I have the same problem. I haven't found one that doesn't smudge or run, cheap or expensive so what I have done that works is after applying the liner, I take a little pressed powder and run it under the liner. I apply it with an eyeshadow wand and just blend it in. It seals it so it doesn't run. If I get a really soft liner, it still runs sometimes. Right now I use L'Oreal micro something or other. It has a very thin tip so it works well.

MAC has a great gel eyeliner that you put on with a separate brush. Bobbie Brown and Stila also have their own version.

MAC also has a liquid eyeliner that will not budge at all!

HTH!

I have been using liquid eyeliner lately; I had a Physician's Formula one (that I can't find anymore, grrr) and now a Revlon Colorstay. That one doesn't move for HOURS. I've used the Colorstay pencils also, and they are just as good.

The trick to not making your eyes disappear is to line only the top lid out. Dont line both lids. It's too overpowering.

If you dont want to use liners, eyeshadows are really great substitutes. You can take a black eyeshadow or even colored one to line the lids :)

The one I've found that works the best is Trish McEvoy gel eyeliner. You need to apply it with a separate eyeliner brush - I use an angled eyebrow brush. It stays on for 24 hours no problems and is my absolute fave!! You can find it at selected Nordstroms - but probably online too!! LOVE IT!!!

Edited to add - I have very oily skin and lids and it still stays put. You need to remove it with makeup remover. Hope this helps.

This is true, I forgot to mention that. I have always only used eyeliner on my top lid. For me, it looks BAD on the bottom.

For watery eyes MAC's powerpoint pencils can't be beat, they DO NOT BUDGE or SMUDGE.

But I also love (& has decent staying power) MAC's fluid line, it's a gel (more like a putty) in a pot & you apply with a brush.

Eyeliner has to be my all time favorite makeup item. This is because it is so versatile. I usually do both upper & lower, but I vary how I apply it. Sometimes on the lower I only do the outer corners, sometimes I go all the way across, sometimes I only do the waterline, sometimes I smudge it out with a small brush (for a softer look) & sometimes I do a really crisp line either thick or thin. Eyeliner is AMAZING!!

I'm with Fishchick ... I adore eyeliner. I usually only wear concealer, eye liner, mascara, and lipgloss on a daily basis. My fave is Bobby Brown gel eyeliner. It comes in a pot and goes on with a brush. I line only the upper lid for daytime. If I'm going out at night and want a more dramatic look, I'll line the top and bottom and go over it in the outer corners with a shadow to match. I feel like I have more control with the gel-type liners. They enable me to make the line thick or fine, depending on how I angle my brush and the pressure I apply.

Do the gel liners have the same look as the liquid liners? I like a pencil because it looks a little softer but, then have to deal with the smudging problems. Gel sounds like it may be a good solution although if it's similar to liquid, I'm not sure I'll like it.

if you like pencil you should really check out the powerpoint pencils from MAC==but gel liner will look like pencil if you smudge it out with a smudge brush.

I just bought some MAC gel liner with the applicator brush. I really like it. Thanks for the tip fishchick. The color selection was overwhelming but, I know I'll go back and get some others.
