in a large study presented at the American Society of Hypertension Meeting, more than 40% of women age 31 to 60 who had high BP (reading above 140/90) suffered from Female sexual dysfunction (FSD), compared with 20% who had normal BP. High pressure damages blood vessels reducing blood flow (and the pressure that comes with it)to the vagina. FSD means low sexual desire, painful sex, and inability to orgasm.
There is no good cure for hypertension related FSD once it starts but you can prevent it by keeping BP low.
